Speaker Session: Ruth Wylde from Unity Gym in Embsay
Ruth Wylde is the owner of Unity Gym and Pilates Studio in Embsay, a Personal Trainer and health educator. During this speaker session Ruth will tell us her business story from her career in HR to owning a gym. We’ll also learn some practical movements we can do to reverse the effects of sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
Movement for Longevity and Getting Off Our Bums!
The majority of us are now spending more time sat at a desk than ever before. We’re losing strength and fitness which can heavily affect our health as we age.
So what can we do?
Ruth will demonstrate some accessible movements we can all do during the day to combat the effects of long hours at our desk. For those looking to improve their strength or get (back) into strength training, Ruth will also introduce us to the core features of strength training and the positive benefits it can have for us all.
NB. There’s no pressure to join in on any of the movements during the evening!
Meet Ruth Wylde – Owner of Unity Gym in Embsay
“I started my career working in Human Resources, which I got into because I liked helping people, but then it became not about helping people at all.
I fell in love with CrossFit in my 30’s and retrained as a Personal Trainer. Now I own a gym and specialise in helping people fall in love with fitness too.”
